After our tea in the Cathedral’s cafe last week (see the previous post), we had an interesting walk around the Cathedral – it had some lovely stained glass windows along with some amazing architecture. Here are a few snaps taken on the day:






I was puzzled by some of the architecture:

Apparently, this arch is a Norman arch. From my researches this style comes from the Mediterranean area (some of which which the Normans also conquered) where there were influences from Islamic culture. The Gothic arch next to it is where the building was extended and changed over the course of centuries.
