An evening walk through West Chiltington

During our recent visit to see relatives we stayed in a holiday cottage in outskirts of the village of West Chiltington in Sussex. One evening, after a hot spring day, we went for a walk through the village. Here are some views:

West Chiltington: Church Street – the main road through the village looking north
West Chiltington: The church of St. Mary’s
West Chiltington: The Whipping Post and Stocks (Grade 2 listed) in front of the church
West Chiltington: The porch of St. Mary’s Church
West Chiltington: Looking north along Church Street from near the church
West Chiltington: An old (1930s?) signpost at the northern end of Church Street
West Chiltington: An attractive cottage to the south of the church

and finally a #imagedump of the photos taken that evening:

That proved to be a very interesting and beautiful walk through the village.
