I find it a worthwhile exercise to try and make something a bit different from something mundane such as a collection of old buttons. Here I show my attempts.
The first pair show the original photo and a sphere image from that photo. I am using the comparison slider to show these pairs side-by-side. Drag the slider to show/hide the images:
Here is the same sphere image with 2 different art effects applied, my ‘kl2’ and ‘kl2i’ methods:
Next I show a different sphere version of the same set of buttons along with it processed with my ‘kl2i’ art effect:
Next I show two images where I have pushed the processing techniques to the limit: A ‘near two-pole’ and an ‘extended pole’ distortion’
I wasn’t sure how this would turn out but I did get results that were different. Whether you like it or not is another matter…
