Double Sphereise to give 2 ‘Poles’

I like to experiment. For this experiment I thought I would try ‘sphereising’ an image that had already been ‘sphereised’ just to see what happens. This gave me a 2 Pole effect. The first example is a kaleidoscope image that I will show (using the comparison slider) with the single sphere effect:

Original kaleidoscope image
Single sphereised version

Next I will show 2 versions of the double sphereised image. The results are quite abstract:

1st version of double sphereised
Second version of double spherised

This next pair of images show the single and double versions of the same base image:

Single sphere version
Double sphere version

Finally a single image zoomed to show both poles on a single image:

Douple sphereised with 2 poles

With hindsight, although I have double sphereised this image, it looks more like a triple pole! You just don’t know what you are going to get until you do it…
