Garden Views in September

We live in a small Staffordshire suburban house with a small garden which is my wife’s domain. She does permit me to photograph it :). What I have tried to do is photograph small parts of the garden without the neighbouring properties showing, nor, when I can manage it, the house.

This is a selection taken last month:

Pink Dahlias near one corner of the garden
Ornaments by the corner of a small (about 20in (40cm)) pond made from a small ceramic sink
A view at the end of the garden behind the trellis
A view in the larger(!) pond (about 1mx1.5m or 40in x 60in)
A terracotta urn nestling in the foliage
Flowers near an ornamental apple tree
Dahlias in pots on the path
A vintage water pump within the garden

I often find that many gardens are at their best in the early autumn…
