One image: Different views and ‘projections’

Yes, more experimenting. For this post I have taken one image, applied my ‘kl2i’ art effect to it and then experimented with different ‘sphere-type’ projections.

First I show the starting image of flowers and foliage as taken by the camera using ‘bendy glass’ along with my ‘kl2i’ art effect. Drag the slider to see the underlying starting image:

The original starting image before any image manipulation
The same image processed with my ‘kl2i’ art effect

Here are two ‘sphere projections’ using different viewpoints. Drag the slider to hide and reveal the two images:

Sphere projection version 1
Sphere projection version 2

These next two images are of the same ‘view’ of the sphere but using different sphere processing. As before, drag the slider to hide/reveal:

View of the central ‘cross’ using one processing method
Another view of the central ‘cross’ using a different processing method

This next pair are, again of the central ‘cross’ but processed differently:

A wider view of the central ‘cross’
More of a rugby ball projection

And finally this image blew me away when I first saw it – not what I was expecting:

How do you describe this?

This is now the wallpaper on my mobile devices and the desktop on my PC. I just hope I can remember how I processed it…
