Experimenting with a convex mirror and a crystal ball in the conservatory

I often like to try out different ways of taking photographs to get something a bit different. Below I show some examples, taken in our small conservatory so as to show some houseplants, using a crystal ball next to a convex mirror:

This is a simple view, with a black background, showing the crystal ball in front of the mirror. Note the background of the houseplants shown in the mirror is slightly out of focus
This version uses the technique of ‘focus stacking’ with 5 photos to create an image with the houseplants in the background being sharp
This version is without focus stacking and has the black background removed so showing the conservatory furniture
This has a slightly different viewpoint but has been taken in ‘portrait’ format. You can also see my hands holding the camera!

I think this technique almost works but does need refining…
