A big begonia leaf: Image variations

I have been taking different subjects and experimenting with what I can do with the resulting images. In this case I am using a portion of a large begonia leaf – this is one of my wife’s house plants in our small conservatory.

I am showing these images using a comparison slider – drag the slider to show/hide the images. First, though, I show the original leaf as a square crop:

The next 2 pairs are sphere images with the original sphere on the left and with art effects on the right:

I found that the images without the art effect aren’t so good as those with – What do you think?…
