This summer has been a good one for wasps – they were devouring all the fruit from mid-August onwards. The plums were decimated by them – I had to be very careful to pick what little fruit there was left, the summer fruiting apple was being hammered and many of the figs were being stripped:
I was limited to only one viewpoint as there were many wasps on the fruit and I daren’t move any leaves as they were everywhere. Picking the unspoilt fruit was a challenge…
