Colour at Powis Castle

A few days ago we paid a visit to the National Trust property of Powis Castle. Although it was a bit dull, grey and overcast (at least it didn’t rain) I managed to take a few reasonable photos with my compact camera. Here is a selection:

A walk in the woods with red rhododendrons
Further along with bluebells edging the track
Amongst the flowers and moss sits this single tap
Bluebells and whitebells under the Acers.

An enjoyable, peaceful visit after the bank holiday when, according to the staff, it was very crowded with queues for everything.
