TransAfrica 1975: Andorra through Spain to the ferry

In this selection of photos I show our trip through Andorra and Spain from where we caught the ferry to Africa:

Camping at a disused site in Andorra: 14th March 1975
At the top of a pass in Andorra: 15th March 1975
Packing up from a second camp site in Andorra: 16th March 1975

In exiting Andorra into Spain there was a problem with customs – they didn’t like the quantity of film we were carrying nor the jerrycans. So we turned back into Andorra, crossed back into France and headed to the Mediterranean coast road where we entered Spain without any problems. The following photos were taken on our diversion:

The Land Rover on the way out of the Pyrenees
In Spain now, the Murcia-Granada road in the Sierra Nevada with the Transit and Land Rover. 20th March 1975
Me on the beach at Algeciras: Gibraltar in the background. 22nd March 1975
Me and Bob on the ferry crossing to Ceuta looking back to Gibraltar. 21st March 1975

This leg of the trip was very interesting with some beautiful country seen. The hassle with Spanish customs at Andorra turned out well as we saw more of Spain than expected.
