Stone Common Plot : Telephoto Views

On a recent autumnal visit to Stone Common Plot I decided to take a telephoto lens to better present some of the views. This shows a selection of photos, some showing its proximity to the town of Stone:

This first view was taken roughly north west from the northern side of the common. Within this landscape is a main railway line and the A34 dual carriageway heading north – spot it if you can!

This telephoto panoramic view is intended to show more detail within the landscape, including the railway, farm land (with cattle), farm buildings, fields, hedgerows and woodland. All within walking distance of the town:

This is a misty view roughly south showing the town beyond the edge of the common. Of note are the two churches with possibly a third in the distance:

This view south-east(ish) shows the proximity of the common to some of the housing in Stone:

This panoramic view is across an ancient hay meadow to the edge of a wood. A footpath runs along the edge of the wood:

This final view is of a birch tree getting ready to shed its leaves:

This is a nice place for us to visit if we don’t want to travel too far…
