Personal Project: #5from7photo – Week 2

Two themes in the project for this week. First are what are often dismissively called ‘Record shots’. I don’t keep a written diary; the nearest I get to a diary is my photographs. I have been taking photos for many years, initially as snapshots, then to record my family growing up. Amongst this is some dabbling with ‘Camera Club Photography’ and trying out photography more as hobbyist.

In the past, when we moved house (which we have done about 9 or 10 times!), I took photos of the property when we moved in and when we moved out. More recently I have taken photos of work we have done on the property. This past week or so I have been boarding out the loft, putting more insulation in, and sorting out the stuff we have there. As usual, I have been recording what I have done:

Boarding out the loft using chipboard and planks that were left by the previous owner(s)
Boarding an area using fresh chipboard
These are my photo albums and photo archives. Those taken by me go back to 1964. The old family photo archive goes back to the late 1800s

For the second theme for this week: if you have been following my posts for a while you will know that I take photos of trees visible across a field at the back of my garden. On Thursday there was some fog about which enabled me to take these 2 views:

Three trees across the field in the light fog taken from my garden
And a tree stump taken at the same time…
