A couple of weeks ago we made our first visit to the botanic gardens of the University of Liverpool, the ‘Ness Botanic Gardens’ on the Wirral peninsular near Liverpool. We were pleasantly surprised by the gardens and some of the views across the Dee Estuary to North Wales were magnificent.

The colchicums (Naked Ladies) were in flower – there were many lovely examples:








This was a worthwhile visit and, as a bonus, it had a nice cafe – we intend to visit again!
