Trent and Mersey Canal: Part of a Circular Walk

Continuing from my previous post, here are a few photos of the section of the walk north along the Trent and Mersey Canal. I start with a view of bridge 104. This was taken with an ultra-wide zoom lens that I was trying out:

Next is a view looking down at some lock gates. I am always impressed with how they hold the water back:

Further along is yet another bridge – this time 105 (makes sense…)

Then we get to this lovely tranquil spot. What isn’t obvious is the housing estates on either side. You can make out some building but in summer I would expect them to be totally obscured:

Finally, the lower half of this sign made us smile:
