Bridgemere Garden World and RHS Bridgewater

Early in September we visited two gardens: Bridgemere Garden World is a show garden attached to a garden centre and Bridgewater is the large RHS garden in Salford. Both, we find, are worth visiting.

Bridgemere has a number of show gardens that were used for exhibiting at the RHS Chelsea flower show (and others). This is about a 30 minute drive from where I live. Here are a few photos from our visit:

View of the Victorian Garden from under a tree on a raised area
View of the Octavia Hill Garden which won 3 awards at the 2024 RHS Chelsea Flower Show
A view of the Abandonment Garden which won an award at the 2022 RHS Hampton Court Flower show

The large RHS garden at Bridgewater is a good hour’s drive away from home (depending on the traffic on the M6!) but, for us, is worth the occasional visit. These are a few views taken in the day:

An arrangement of 3 pots full of plants within the gardens
A reflection of different coloured flowers in one of the raised ponds
View of the ‘Garden Cottage’ from the ‘Paradise Garden’
The Pagoda in the ‘Chinese Streamside Garden’

For us, these are two places worth the occasional visit.
