
Earlier this month I visited Stokesay Castle – a fortified manor house in Shropshire managed by English Heritage. This was the start of a short holiday in the region. I found it a fascinating place to visit with a lot of interest: what follows is a selection of the photos I took on this visit. I intend to return later in the year.
There is a wealth of detail in the woodwork, including intricate carvings:
