Bendy glass, daffodils and an art effect

I like to try out different techniques – I am always looking out for something a bit different that I can use, in this case ‘bendy glass’. Using some daffodils as a subject I tried different views and arrangements but the ‘straight’ results were a bit boring. However, adding my ‘kl2’ art effect gave me something a bit different. This results in those photos that you either like or hate:

A single daffodil through the ‘bendy glass’ with my ‘kl2’ art effect

Just moving the subject or the bendy glass a little alters the result:

A second view of the single daffodil

Position it right and the glass breaks up the flower:

This shows the head of the daffodil being grossly distorted by the bendy glass

I then introduced a second daffodil into the scene:

Two daffodils through the bendy glass still with the ‘kl2’ art effect

Re-arranging the flowers gave me this:

A second arrangement with the two flowers facing each other

I will try this again as I quite like the effect although we are coming to the end of the daffodil season…
