Infra-Red Panoramas at Ynyslas Beach

On the last day of our recent holiday in Wales, we visited the beach at Ynyslas which is on the estuary of the river Dyfi. This area is very tidal so that when the tide is out there are large flat areas of sand (some of which can be parked on). This area also has some sand dunes, some of which are covered in coarse grasses. Most of the photos I took were infra-red panoramas although I did also take a couple of colour panoramas. Here is a selection, starting with a colour view to show the weather conditions:

An infra-red panoramic view of the estuary from the top of the dunes
A panoramic infra-red view of the beach and the sea from the sand dunes at Ynyslas.
The field of view is about 140º

As with the beach views in the previous post, I like the way infra-red photography shows the dark sky contrasting with the white clouds and the dark sea. Interestingly, the grasses are not a uniform white – white foliage is common with green plant material when viewed in infra-red.
