We recently visited a relative who lives several hours drive away so we don’t get to see them often. The way their house is furnished and decorated is somewhat eclectic. In one of the rooms was a convex mirror on the wall which gave an unusual view of the room. So I took a series of photos, taking care that I didn’t appear in them. Below are the two best images that I took:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A day later we visited the National Trust property of Nymans where there was, on one of the walls inside the house, a convex mirror but this didn’t work so well for me:<\/p>\n\n\n

One of the issues was that there were two candle holders on the sides which intruded in the photo. However, I suspect that at night with lighted candles in them the effect would have been a lot different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have decided to look out for a suitable convex mirror so I can take more photos at other locations…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
