I have had another article published in a local free magazine, the ‘Stone and Eccleshall Gazette’. This article discussed, and showed, some of the green spaces in Stoke-on-Trent which, according to a 2023 posting by Ordnance Survey, is one of the greenest cities in the UK – a surprise to many.<\/p>\n\n\n

Stoke-on-Trent is often considered to be a very urban city but there are a surprising number of reserves and green spaces. Many are in the middle of large housing and industrial estates but have footpaths leading into the reserves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The one featured in the page shown above is adjacent to a busy road but walking though the park you would think you were in the countryside if it wasn’t for the occasional glimpses of the housing estates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I intend to revisit some of them in the autumn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
