But this was an opportunity not to be missed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We were walking through the woods at Hem Heath (managed by Staffordshire Wildlife Trust) when we came across this robin &#8211; I am told that it is a juvenile, not an adult. We stopped and I got my modest telephoto zoom out and managed to get the above shot. I then crept slowly along the path taking photos (hand held) as I got closer. The following photos are crops as my lens is not that powerful, nor could I get very close.
