On the last full day of our holiday in Yorkshire we made another visit to the National Trust property of Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal. This was for two reasons: 1) to see it in fine weather (after the pouring rain a couple of days previous) and 2) so I could take photos using my infra-red converted camera. I think the stonework responds well to infra-red photography. Earlier in the day we visited Ripon Cathedral and the stonework there did not show so well. The more we do the more we learn!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
