I have tried out some more ideas with hexagons – this is the start image:<\/p>\n

Just a dahlia flower in the garden.<\/p>\n

I then wrote a program, similar to that used in the previous post, to create a random pattern of hexagon segments – there were 3 sizes in 3 transparencies. Blending these with the original gives me this:<\/p>\n

To make the hexagons stand out, I toned down the colours in the base image. Not too bad but not quite as I hoped.<\/p>\n

Using this hexelated (?) image\u00a0 as the base from the previous post:<\/p>\n

I blended in the random hexagons to get:<\/p>\n

This breaks up the regularity of the hexagons in the base image. I feel this has potential – I will try this with different base images to see what happens<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
