<\/a>This is not a perfect image – the stem of the grass on the right is a little distracting and the grass in front of the dragonfly could have been trimmed a little. However, I took a set of ‘catch-it-while-you-can’ photos first as the dragonfly could take off at any moment. When I did go and get some scissors, by the time I had returned it had flown away. Also, these were all hand-held as I didn’t want to chance it flying off whilst I was getting a tripod.<\/p>\nThis view I took from above to show the whole outline:<\/p>\n

This shows it was on a domestic lawn and not ‘out in the wild’.<\/p>\n
