The first photo that I show was taken about halfway through the visit in the afternoon and shows a Robin singing. This was just a quick grab shot so I was quite pleased how it turned out with its beak wide open.<\/p>\n<p>In the gardens were facilities for wildlife including piles of logs for lizards to use:<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-3379\" href=\"http:\/\/www.pmstudios.co.uk\/blog\/2013\/10\/gardens-at-rhs-hyde-hall-a-first-visit\/e13_8201p1\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-3379\" title=\"E13_8201p1\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pmstudios.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/E13_8201p1-600x480.jpg\" alt=\"lizards\" width=\"600\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.pmstudios.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/E13_8201p1-600x480.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.pmstudios.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/E13_8201p1-300x240.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.pmstudios.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/E13_8201p1.jpg 750w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 709px) 85vw, (max-width: 909px) 67vw, (max-width: 984px) 61vw, (max-width: 1362px) 45vw, 600px\" \/><\/a>This is an enlargement from the centre of the image &#8211; I tried to take a succession of photos as I moved closer but my movement disturbed them and one ran off. I must admit a prefer this more informal, almost naturalistic, type of view. Even though I took it myself, I do like this view&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Crab apples in the sun:<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-3380\" href=\"http:\/\/www.pmstudios.co.uk\/blog\/2013\/10\/gardens-at-rhs-hyde-hall-a-first-visit\/e13_8213p1\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-3380\" title=\"E13_8213p1\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pmstudios.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/E13_8213p1-600x433.jpg\" alt=\"crab apples\" width=\"600\" height=\"433\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.pmstudios.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/E13_8213p1-600x433.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.pmstudios.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/E13_8213p1-300x216.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.pmstudios.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/E13_8213p1.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 709px) 85vw, (max-width: 909px) 67vw, (max-width: 984px) 61vw, (max-width: 1362px) 45vw, 600px\" \/><\/a>These make a nice colourful study &#8211; I wonder how many people visiting the gardens stop and look at the colour and, dare I say it, beauty of such fruit.
