<\/a>Every month I take photographs of our garden for our own records so we can see how our garden changes and develops over time: I have been doing this for over 20 years now with 3 gardens. For many of the views, a wider than normal view would show more of the garden. So this month I decided to take panoramic photographs; not with a wide angle lens but by stitching photos together.<\/p>\nThis first shot is made from 2 images so is just that bit wider than normal. It shows some of our vegetable plot with the polytunnel.\u00a0 On the left are the raspberry canes, then we have onions, then on the right are potatoes.<\/p>\n

<\/a>This was taken in the early morning as it was the only time it was still enough to photograph – we have had some quite blustery weather. This view is about 15o\u00b0 degrees wide and looks roughly east over the garden. The sun is behind the large tree and clouds. I like this view as it has texture in the sky; clear blue sky can make wonderful photographs but large expanses of it can be a bit uninteresting.<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"http:\/\/www.pmstudios.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/E13_4992x2p1-600x227.jpg\" "\\"E13_4992x2p1\\"")
<\/a>This could have been taken in 1 shot from further back then cropped to this format but this composite has more detail as it hasn’t been cropped much. At this level of resolution for the web it wouldn’t make any difference, but the original is capable of making quite a large print.<\/p>\n
