Catching up on last years photos, I have now published images of raspberry plants and fruit growing in the garden:<\/p>\n

\"A<\/a>I have many photos from last year that I am still processing. For this set I am showing raspberry plants growing in our garden. I have tried to take a variety of views from close-up to a wider view like this one. Here I am trying to show a number of, mostly, ripe berries growing on the plant stems. I have included plenty of foliage to show context.<\/p>\n

Many raspberries grow under the leaves:<\/p>\n

\"hidden<\/a>The purpose of this image is that the fruit often grows hidden by leaves forcing the picker to move the foliage, look under the leaves and bend down to look through the plants. When I am picking the berries I search along the bushes in one direction then go back down the row in the opposite direction – this always finds a lot more fruit.<\/p>\n

I also wanted to show some closer views of the fruit:<\/p>\n

\"close<\/a>Here, I wanted to show, not just a close-up of the ripe berries, but the unripe fruit all originating from the same cluster. You can also see the berries are in different states of ripeness.<\/p>\n

Finally, I took some photos of the set-up – this was taken during one of the sessions of photographing the fruit – I used my compact camera for this.<\/p>\n
