This panorama was taken in the garden when we had some snow last month:<\/p>\n

\"Snow<\/a>I have had an interest in panorama photography since I had my first digital camera in 2004 which came with panorama stitching photography. Although this was OK with snapshots, I could not get the quality I wanted with photos taken with my DSLR. So, last month I invested in some decent, modern panoramic stitching software.<\/p>\n

The above image was the results of a trial run stitching 3 views using this new software. I must say I was quit impressed by the speed and the quality. I decided to try this out on some other panoramas that I took in previous years to see what the quality was like:<\/p>\n

\"ynyslas<\/a>This is a 2007 view of the beach in mid Wales at Ynyslas, composed from 13 individual frames, taken with a DSLR. I was very pleased with the result. Previously, I had some slight tonal differences between the frames that showed in the final image – this software has smoothed them out.<\/p>\n

I also tried the software on some of my early attempts with a compact camera – this one I am particularly pleased with:<\/p>\n

\"salad<\/a>This shows some salad crops growing in the polytunnel at our previous smallholding in Wales. This was taken with a 5Mpixel camera with no manual focussing and limited exposure controls (An Ixus 500).<\/p>\n
