This stretch of the river is only 10 minutes walk from where I live so my wife and I often go for a brisk walk down to, and along, this part of the Waveney. This river is part of the area known as the Norfolk broads but it also forms much of the border between the counties of Norfolk and Suffolk &#8211; we live on the Norfolk side.<\/p>\n<p>For the processing of this image I have used a technique to give a more ethereal or dream-like quality. I quite like the effect but realise that it is not to everyone&#8217;s taste.\u00a0 Should you prefer something more conventional, this view was taken after a light covering of snow:<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-2961\" href=\"http:\/\/www.pmstudios.co.uk\/blog\/2013\/01\/river-waveney-views\/e10_00058p2\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-2961\" title=\"E10_00058p2\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pmstudios.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/E10_00058p2-600x399.jpg\" alt=\"Waveney- light snow\" width=\"600\" height=\"399\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.pmstudios.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/E10_00058p2-600x399.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.pmstudios.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/E10_00058p2-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.pmstudios.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/E10_00058p2.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 709px) 85vw, (max-width: 909px) 67vw, (max-width: 984px) 61vw, (max-width: 1362px) 45vw, 600px\" \/><\/a>This image was taken a couple of years ago but I have re-processed it to provide a print image &#8211; this is available up to A2 size. I like to orangey tones in this image caused by the warm glow of the low winter sun and enhanced by the reddish brown colour of the reeds and tree stems.<\/p>\n<p>Taken earlier still, this image when there was a brilliant blue winter sky:<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-2960\" href=\"http:\/\/www.pmstudios.co.uk\/blog\/2013\/01\/river-waveney-views\/d09_00604p2\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-2960\" title=\"D09_00604p2\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pmstudios.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/D09_00604p2-600x399.jpg\" alt=\"blue waveney\" width=\"600\" height=\"399\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.pmstudios.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/D09_00604p2-600x399.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.pmstudios.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/D09_00604p2-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.pmstudios.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/D09_00604p2.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 709px) 85vw, (max-width: 909px) 67vw, (max-width: 984px) 61vw, (max-width: 1362px) 45vw, 600px\" \/><\/a>Again, this was taken along the stretch we walk along. I don&#8217;t always carry my DSLR but when I think there is an opportunity for fine photographs I take it with me.
