I started off the week with this view through our garden:<\/p>\n

This was taken first thing Monday morning and is a view from near our back door, past a plum tree, through to the gate to the chicken runs. The morning was quite overcast, hence no shadows. I quite like to composition as it shows many parts of the garden: the plum tree, the flower bedding dying back behind it, the edge of the pond to the right, and the grass leading through to the gate.<\/p>\n

The following morning it was bright and sunny so I took the same view:<\/p>\n

Both the atmosphere and the colour is completely different. The colour is more green, even after it has been toned down and it just has a different feel. I did think about taking this view over the whole week but the conditions at the times that were available to me to use would have resulted in near identical photos.<\/p>\n

So instead, on Wednesday morning I decided to photograph a few chickens:<\/p>\n

These had been let out for their early morning feed. When they are let out of their hut they come charging out in expectation of their food – even though they have feed in the hut.<\/p>\n

Thursday was quite fine so I wanted to show that there is still colour in the garden:<\/p>\n

This image shows sedum ‘autumn joy’. We have several patches of this around and it contrasts with other parts of the garden that are beginning to die back.<\/p>\n

As Friday was still a fine day, I showed some more colour in the garden:<\/p>\n

\"Roses<\/a><\/p>\n

This shows Roses and Penstemon in the bed to the side of the summer house. It is quite cheering to see colour like this.<\/p>\n

This series of postings on the daily garden photograph is not working as I hoped, so this is the last posting, for now, on this topic.<\/p>\n
