In the view above, of the vicarage from the King&#8217;s Walk, the wind made little difference.<\/p>\n<p>I do like the blue sky and fluffy clouds in this photo. The grass looks quite good too with the classic striped look. I did take a similar photo a few minutes earlier when the sun was behind a cloud but it was inferior to this version.<\/p>\n<p>In a sheltered spot, and taking time for a lull in the wind, I managed to get this image of a bloom on a magnolia tree:<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-2876\" href=\"http:\/\/www.pmstudios.co.uk\/blog\/2012\/09\/late-august-visit-to-east-ruston-old-vicarage\/e12_5389p1\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-2876\" title=\"E12_5389p1\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pmstudios.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/E12_5389p1-600x399.jpg\" alt=\"magnolia flower\" width=\"600\" height=\"399\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.pmstudios.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/E12_5389p1-600x399.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.pmstudios.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/E12_5389p1-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.pmstudios.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/E12_5389p1.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 709px) 85vw, (max-width: 909px) 67vw, (max-width: 984px) 61vw, (max-width: 1362px) 45vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Not being an expert, I must admit I was surprised &#8211; I thought the trees blossomed earlier in the year. This bloom looks almost perfect. Not being my tree I couldn&#8217;t cut away the leaf at the top&#8230; My wife helped out though by holding back a few leaves that would have got in the way of the photograph.<\/p>\n<p>In the new Diamond Jubilee Walled Garden there is a feature consisting of a small room to one side of the wall. Amongst the attractions of this room is a table constructed from driftwood; it hold this fine specimen of a Begonia:<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-2877\" href=\"http:\/\/www.pmstudios.co.uk\/blog\/2012\/09\/late-august-visit-to-east-ruston-old-vicarage\/e12_5512p1\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-2877\" title=\"E12_5512p1\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pmstudios.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/E12_5512p1-600x452.jpg\" alt=\"begonia on driftwood table\" width=\"600\" height=\"452\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.pmstudios.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/E12_5512p1-600x452.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.pmstudios.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/E12_5512p1-300x226.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.pmstudios.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/E12_5512p1.jpg 796w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 709px) 85vw, (max-width: 909px) 67vw, (max-width: 984px) 61vw, (max-width: 1362px) 45vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>An amazing amount of work must have gone into making this table. I love also the delicate tones of the leaves and flowers.
