Recently we went to the National Trust property of Shugborough – it is one of our ‘go-to’ places for when we want a pleasant, less demanding walk. On this day there had been a little flooding that had largely receded but there were still places, such as the arboretum, where some of the ground was still covered in water. It was quite a still day so that both the river and the ground water provided some interesting reflections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Running through the estate is an ornamental diversion of the River Sow which makes for some pleasant imagery. Here is a selection of photos:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
