As well as photography, I have a history of writing articles for a wide variety of magazines. This ranged from computer programming to smallholding to nature and the environment. The magazines I worked for ranged from a US based internationally distributed computing magazine through to local community magazines. Below I go into more detail. Note that the links will either download a PDF file or show a jpg photo of the document.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

RPS<\/strong> (Royal Photographic Society) AV group Magazine AV News December 2025<\/strong>: This article is an introduction<\/a> to some of the interactive technologies that present other ways of presenting photographs. This is the second article I have had published in this magazine. Stone and Eccleshall Gazette:<\/strong> This is a free local, bi-monthly, magazine carrying mostly news and general interest items of the locality. I have created articles consisting mostly of photographs taken in the area. I had several articles published with some held over due to space constraints.<\/p>\n\n\n

September 2024 – Green Spaces and Reserves<\/strong>: This article shows some of the green spaces in nearby Stoke-on-Trent here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

July 2024 – Spring flowers and blossom in Stone<\/strong>: The title says it all! You can see the article here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

March 2024 – Stone Winter Views:<\/strong> Various views of Stone in winter were presented in this article which you can read about here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

September 2023:<\/strong> This article is to show the beauty of autumn in the locality, some of which people may not be aware of (the editor admitted that there were 2 places I mentioned that he was unaware of). Royal Photographic Society (RPS):<\/strong> I have just had my first article published after joining the RPS earlier in 2023. This article describes my experience using Audio Visual (AV) in my role as a photography volunteer. This was published in the magazine of the AV special interest group. Harrowing Times<\/strong>: A small community magazine for the Norfolk Smallholder Training Group. As a smallholder then living in Norfolk I joined this group and during my time with them I wrote a few articles including: Fungi Foray<\/a>. Other articles included: ‘A Pig Shelter for Nowt.’ and ‘Denton Black Hand Cyder Pressing Day’.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Countryman:<\/strong> I have had one article published in this magazine in March 2007. This was about artisan made ‘Natural Chairs<\/a>‘.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Period Living:<\/strong> A simple back page article<\/a> about our smallholding in Wales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
