This 2-page spread was based on Paul's experience of selling one smallholding and buying another. December 2008.

The Countryman: Natural Chairs:

Paul has written about, and took the photographs of, this craft worker who makes furniture in a free-form style. The manner of manufacture is by using hand and traditional tools that have a low impact on the environment. This was published in the March 2007 edition (title: 'Smooth Operator' page 81).

Period Living and Traditional Homes: A Story from Home:

This was a short, back-page item where Paul supplied the text (that was edited and re-attributed to a staff writer) and the photographs. April 2006.

Smallholder Magazine: Starting a smallholding - a practical experience:

This was a 2-page spread giving a personal view on starting a smallholding. A PDF version of this article on starting a smallholding is available. October 2003.

Smallholder Magazine: Fencing:

Another short item, with photographs supplied by Paul, which gives tips on an innovative idea for erecting stock fencing for smallholders. A PDF version of this fencing article is available. January 2004.

Smallholder Magazine : Making goat's milk yogurt:

This article demonstrates a technique for making goat's milk yogurt. This has been accepted for publication on two occasions, but has not made it to print. A PDF version of this article on making yogurt from goat's milk is available. Awaiting publication.
