How to take photos by moonlight using an inexpensive digicam

A guide for the inexperienced and new photographer.

This tutorial is intended as a guide to the new and inexperienced photographer. It is compiled into a PDF document which most modern computers can display and print. If you need a PDF reader, Adobe provide a free one.

This is a photograph taken with a simple digital compact camera that has few manual controls (a Canon Ixus 500). This photograph has not been enhanced - this is it 'out of the camera'.

Read this tutorial as a printable document (PDF). This document is nearly 12Mb due to the photographs inside it (so it could take a while to download!) If you wish to print the document, choose a quality setting for your printer so that the photographs reproduce well.
