Tips for using these pictures for your desktop background.
This is for using Explorer on Windows XP but other versions of Windows and other browsers are similar in principle.
- Select the image you like and the size that closest matches your monitor set-up.
- Right click on the image that is displayed. This will show a small menu box.
- Explorer users can use the 'Select as Desktop' option (Firefox users can use the 'Select as Desktop background' option) - and that's it!
- At this point you can, as an alternative, select the 'Send Image' option to email it to a friend.
- - Otherwise, select 'Save Picture As'.
- This will suggest a location - possibly 'My Pictures'. Choose this or another suitable location.
- Save it!
- Go to the desktop and right click on a clear area (not on an icon!)
- Click on the desktop tab (note the current setting in case you want to go back to it), then the 'Browse' button.
- Navigate to the place where the image was saved, select it and open it.
- Using the 'Position' drop-down you can adjust how the picture is displayed.
- Click 'Apply' then 'OK' - Your wallpaper should now display.
