Have old photos you want copying?
Paul can scan the photographs to his computer, adjust them (the exposure and contrast) and enlarge for printing to any reasonable size that the original image will allow. For example, he has enlarged a pale 2-inch photograph to a reasonable 5in x 7in contrasty image - the client was not just pleased but amazed at what could be done! If you have a negative, but no photograph, Paul can work with this as well. Below we show an original faded photograph and its enhanced version (it looks even better printed!)
In addition, Paul can produce a CD (or memory card) of the images copied and include a slide show.
Printing that special photograph that you have taken
Paul can also hand print that special digital photo for you using his quality printer and materials - he can print photographs from 6in x 4in up to A3 size.
Need help with your digital camera?
Paul has become aware of a need that many people have in getting to grips with their digital camera. Many lack the knowledge, or confidence, to use their digital camera (or digicam) to its fullest extent.
Paul can offer personal or group tuition to help you get more out of your camera. For example, Paul can help you with:
- Using the basic controls of the camera
- Simple composition techniques to help create a more attractive photograph
- Using more advance controls (should the camera have them) such as aperture and shutter speed
- Loading the photos to your computer
- Basic editing techniques to improve the quality of the photograph
- Uploading the photos to Internet based printers to get printed copies of your photographs
… and many other topics. Note that Paul now runs courses as a tutor with the WEA. Paul has qualified as a tutor for adult learners (the qualification is known as PTLLS).
