About the freelance work of Paul L.G. Morris:
A versatile and creative freelance photographer and writer.
Photography and Writing for magazines and websites:
Paul Morris is a freelance photographer and writer whose distinguishing feature is that he is prepared to photograph and write about the unusual and the overlooked. Paul has many years of experience pursuing the creative art of photography, coupled with more recent experience as an author of magazine articles and of digital imaging. Paul works professionally through his business: PM Studios Ltd.
About Paul's Photography:
Paul has been involved in photography for over 20 years working in both monochrome and colour. He has had his own darkroom and processed in both colour and black-and-white. This has given Paul good experience in the techniques of photography and the creation of images.
Now with a recent change of job, Paul has the time and energy to concentrate more on his photography. This has been helped by the uptake of digital photography which frees him from the darkroom and gives faster feedback on the results. More information is given on the Paul's Photography page with examples of this work in the photographic gallery.
Living on a smallholding in rural mid-Wales in the west of the UK gives Paul the opportunity to photograph a variety of subjects under different conditions. This smallholding provides subject matter as diverse as fungi, flowers, landscapes, insects, animals and old machinery. Close-up and macro photography is a delight in this location which, although not registered organic, is more than organic in principle. In addition, the surrounding beaches and countryside provides a wealth of both photographic and journalistic opportunities.
Paul can be commissioned to photograph the type of work shown on this website – feel free to browse the gallery and use the contact page to let him know of your requirements.
About Paul's writing of articles for magazines and websites:
Paul's initial writing experience has been gained authoring technical articles for specialist computer magazines - one published in the US and the other in the UK. More information on these can be found in the writing page of this site.
Other writing includes that for smallholding magazines, where Paul's experience in running a smallholding with his wife has been the subject of published articles. In preparation are articles on smallholding, country skills and photographic techniques for the enthusiast's magazines.
One activity that Paul finds is in demand is that of writing copy for websites that is appropriate to the reader, but also enables search engines to effectively index the pages.
